CULTURE

Pitchfork music festival 2017 announce slew of acts for the Chicago event, including LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest and Solange

You needn’t choose between comfort and fashion at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival in the sweltering Chicago summer, July 14th – 16th, because there’s a new +PLUS ticket available with jammy access to air conditioned bars, shaded areas, and special drinks.

You’ll store all your nearest and dearest things in your own locker while you run off to catch the headliners above, and other acts which will culminate in a collaboration between Solange’s label and arts platform, Saint Heron.

Saint Heron will host film screenings, talks, late night jam sessions, art installations and more dot-to-dot throughout the city. It’s about more than just the music – and you can check for further lineup announcements on their website.

TRASH

Go lake swimming, drink fine cocktails over banquet feasts and lose your mind to Eighties diva icon Grace Jones at Wilderness Festival 2017

The UK festival scene’s most boundlessly eclectic lineup has just been announced. Wilderness is the UK’s only festival that cleverly dishes out talent in the fields of cookery, wellness and music without any feeling back-footed.

Grace Jones, Bonobo and Two Door Cinema Club are the diverse headliners, and longtable feasting is at the hands of veggie stalwart Yotam Ottolenghi, trendy-ass Chiltern Firehouse and Guardian columnist Thomasina Miers. Expect talk of Michelin stars, and food that may as well be Michelin starred across three days at the foodie festival to be at.

Then there’s Sadler’s Wells, Rogue Theatre and the Camden People’s Theatre with new work. And a lakeside spa and (we’re just picking one of hundreds of odds and ends) BARN DANCING. See you there – tickets here.
